UVI's Safety In Paradise (SIP) Program was recently featured in the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Quick Takes.  Quick Takes is a twice-monthly newsletter that disseminates information about workplace safety and health to more than 210,000 subscribers.

In the article, SIP Consultants were recognized for their efforts to educate the public following the devastating hurricanes that hit the U.S. Virgin Islands in September 2017.  The consultants provided safety and health information and assisted in identifying and addressing hazards.  The consultants also provided informal training and disseminated important safety and health information on such topics as working safely during hurricane cleanup operations, using proper mold remediation techniques, working safely with portable generators, and avoiding electrical hazards.
